IPhone Photography Applications

Now a days you don't need a professional digital camera in order to capture a professional looking photograph.  All you need is your IPhone with some awesome photography applications.   I am currently using: Camera+, Camera Zoom, ColorSplash, myZenfolio, Flickr, DoodleBuddy, PS Mobile, and PhotoStudio.

Camera+ costs $1.99 and allows you to take pictures and also edit photos with your IPhone.  The camera function in this application is great because it gives you grid lines which help center your photos.  You can also zoom in to 1.0x.  Camera+ also has another function called Lightbox which allows you to edit photographs.  In Lightbox you can create scenes such as Auto, Flash, Backlit, Sunset, Night, Portrait, Beach, Scenery, Concert, Food and Text.  You can also crop photos, create different FX Effects and add borders.

Camera Zoom costs $.99 and features Full Screen Shutter, Full Screen Slider, Anti-Shake (Photo), Timer (seconds) and Volume Shutter.

ColorSplash costs $1.99  and lets you take any photo and turn it into black and white while allowing you to brush in the color you want to show.  This is a fun app to use and you can also set the brush size.

myZenfolio is free but you need to set up an account with Zenfolio.com to be able to use it.  This application allows you to access all of your photos that you have published on your website.  Zenfolio allows you to display your photographs neatly on a website while allowing you to be able to sell your work.  If you would like to set up an account, please use my Referral Code: G6SG6S-EEQ-HFW and it will save you $5.00 on your subscription.

Flickr is a free application and allows you to access all of your photos from your free Flickr account.

Doodle Buddy is free and this application allows you to be creative.  It turns your IPhone screen into a blank white canvas for you to fill with drawing, backgrounds, stamps and pictures.  It also allows you to share your creations by posting them to FaceBook.  Another neat feature is that this application will allow you to draw with another user.  To clear your canvas and start all over all you need to do is shake the phone.

PS Mobile is another free application.  It allows you to edit and share your photographs everywhere.  With PS Mobile you can crop, change the exposure, saturation, tint, black and white and contrast.  Other features are sketch, soft focus and sharpen.  There are also effects and borders to choose from.  Another cool feature is that it allows you to save and post to FaceBook and/or TwitPic.

PhotoStudio costs $.99 and is another photo editing application.  It allows you to rotate, crop, change the Gamma and select a category of different types of effects.

I hope you find this entry helpful.  Now you should be familiar with some of the IPhone photography applications.  You can practice creating professional photographs by testing  out these applications for yourself.  Enjoy!

Welcome to My Blog

This is my very first entry into the Blog World.  I've created this blog so I can be creative and share my passion for digital photography.  My goal as a photographer is to create meaningful, beautiful images and ever-lasting memories.   I am blessed to live in such a beautiful place where I can capture God's remarkable world everyday.  I am a self educated photographer and most of my work includes photographs of nature and pets.  I would also like to experiment with  portraits and event photography.  Please click on  My Galleries to view my portfolio.  All of my photos are shot with  a  Canon PowerShot SD950 IS and/or with my IPhone 3G's camera.  Also some of my photos have been edited using Adobe PhotoShop and/or Picnik.
